Suzy Cole has undertaken considerable training in child and young people cognitive behaviour therapy, family therapy and mindfulness. She works in private practice in Isleworth, South West London with children, young people, parents and carers. She has had extensive experience of working with children and young people since graduating with a degree in religious studies and education in 1992.

She has continued to work in state secondary schools teaching religious studies and sociology up to A Level. After several years on the senior leadership team at a secondary school in Southall, London, she retrained at the internationally renowned Anna Freud Centre in cognitive behaviour therapy for children and young people studying for an MSc. Subsequently, she has completed the foundation training in family therapy at St. George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, Tooting, as well as studying and practicing mindfulness having completed an eight week programme and a summer school with the Oxford Mindfulness Centre. In addition, she has completed training in child and adolescent development with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, mentalizing at the Anna Freud Centre and peer on peer sexual abuse. She continues to update her professional training.

She currently works in a school trust in Southall providing therapy for the students their parents and carers. In addition she delivers ongoing mental health training to the staff at the school.
